Attendance: Pastor Allen, Tom Bertino, David Morphew, Sue Grunkemeyer, Russ McDonald, Noreen Panizzoli, Fred Johnson, Susan George
Minutes: Moved by Tom Bertino to approve, seconded by Fred Johnson. Motion passed.
Finance Report: April giving was huge – nearly $22,000 excluding contributions to designated funds. Personal giving was up 41%. Designated accounts were down mainly due to Food Pantry dispersions. Giving in May is back to the pattern prior to April but optimistic with May having five weeks. God answered our prayers and the parish responded to our asking.
Church Picnic: Father’s Day, June 21, Rotary Park is available, but the pavilion may not be large enough. Discussed other dates and the consensus is that June 14 would work best at Madonna.
Pastoral Support: Cortez is in a nursing home and is working to get disability. Send cards to Scott and Tracy Freeman. Pricky Primrose broke her hip and is now living in a nursing home in Chelsea. George Kokones is struggling with health issues. Esther Owen moved to be close to her family.
Equipping the Saints: Dee Lake is looking to start a ministry for Manoogian Manor residents. Art Middlekauff would like to start a high school apologetic s Sunday school class.
Ministry with Trinity: James Bertino, Marie and Gary Palmer, Susan George and her Dad, Pat Knudsen served on workday. Considering VBS and a Young Mother’s Bible Study with Trinity.
Discipleship Group: Thursday evenings in June and July at Allen’s with dinner beginning at 6 p.m. and the study to follow 6:45 – 8 p.m. for those who can attend.
Diocesan: Searching for a new bishop. Bishop Ames would like to retire within the next year.
Analysis of Low Attendance: Why are there less people? Not attending due to age, illness, moved, the drive, a crisis of faith, job change or conflict. Why are people coming less frequently? age, kids.
Homework: Read 1 Corinthians
